The Bachelor of Arts degree prepares you for work in many disciplines and is an excellent foundation for careers in human resources, public relations, communications, teaching and political science.
Our BA is a broad and flexible qualification, rounded in the behavioural and social sciences. We give you the opportunity to tailor your subject choice to specialise in an area that interests you the most. You will cover broad foundational modules as well as core specialised modules in a choice of six streams. These streams are Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management, Psychology and Human Resource Management, Psychology and Political Science, Industrial Psychology and Political Science, Psychology and English and Industrial Psychology and English. Because of our degreeâ€™s unique emphasis on practical application, you will select, conduct and present a research project and complete Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in certain streams in your third year.
You need a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Bachelor degree entry or an equivalent foreign secondary qualification on an NSC level with Bachelor degree entry approved by Universities South Africa (USAF).
If you have an international school-leaving certificate, you need to provide a certificate of exemption issued by Universities South Africa (USAF).
You should have successfully completed the relevant Pearson Institute foundation programme. On successful completion of the foundation programme, students are required to apply to Universities South Africa (USAF) for a certificate of exemption in order to be admitted to a degree programme.
You should have successfully completed a relevant higher certificate qualification. On successful completion of the higher certificate, students are required to apply to Universities South Africa (USAF) for a certificate of exemption in order to be admitted to a degree programme.
You need 25 or more Pearson Institute points.
You need 50% or above for Grade 12 English.
While all campuses offer the same standard of education, our campuses fall into 3 different tiers depending on the facilities and activities that are available on the campus. This means that you only pay for what you get – nothing more. In this way, we strive to accommodate our students’ learning needs and budgetary requirements.
